"Arm all the teachers" is less objectionable than
"Arm the youth of America to go out clubbing", which was Trump's suggestion after the Orlando nightclub tragedy, because at least that's not suggesting that drinking and gunplay presents nothing to worry about. But it's also similar. Imagine the resolution of drunken 20 something barroom arguments when everyone's carrying; imagine opportunities for disaster with armed teachers resolving student conflicts. Exactly how much training do we intend to give English teachers? As much as cops?
Everyone armed in bars, everyone armed in schools - both are ticking bombs. Only a matter of time before tragic events. But maybe more of the one or two death at a time variety. That's really the idea IMO - we can tolerate 1 or 2 deaths at a time way more than 10+ at a time, even if more die overall.
Not to mention, what does this say about our country? At what point has our gun culture gone too far? Do you want your first grader going to school, or a maximum security prison? What kind of adults do we intend to be turning out in the coming decades?
You could write all day about this, but you're suggesting an ever escalating arms race as the dominant element of American society. Keep solving gun problems with more guns (and unless we expect tax rates to increase quite a bit, largely in the hands of inadequately trained people who aspire to teach, not work in law enforcement).
I don't have high hopes about the outcome for this society you're proposing.
